Scanzo Terms of Use

Effective Date: September 17, 2026

About These Terms

These Terms govern your use of the Scanzo application and its related services. In these Terms, "Scanzo," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Scanzo application and its services.

By downloading, installing, launching, or using Scanzo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree to any provision, please discontinue use and uninstall Scanzo from your device.

1. Services and Use

Features

Scanzo uses artificial intelligence to analyze images of sports cards. Depending on the features you use, the application can identify cards, extract details such as year, series, player name, and card type, generate market value estimates from aggregated data, and help you create, organize, and track your personal collection.

Services may change due to product updates, technical conditions, business arrangements, or compliance requirements. We may reasonably add, modify, suspend, or discontinue certain features.

License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Scanzo for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license may be revoked if you violate these Terms. All rights not expressly granted remain with us or the relevant rights holders.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not use Scanzo for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or unauthorized activities. You must also not:

You are responsible for the materials you submit and for your activities when using the application.

2. User Content

Ownership

You retain the rights you hold in the images and other materials you upload or capture (collectively, "User Content"). Using Scanzo does not transfer ownership of that content to us.

Processing License

To perform the card identification, information extraction, valuation, and collection management you request, we need to process the relevant User Content. You therefore grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license, limited to providing these services, to transmit, process, and temporarily store User Content as necessary.

This license does not permit us to use your images for advertising, marketing, resale, or unrelated commercial activities. It ends when you delete the content or uninstall Scanzo, except where retention is required by law or brief retention is necessary to maintain system integrity.

By submitting content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or lawful authorization and that the content does not infringe any third-party rights.

3. Rights and Privacy

Intellectual Property

The software, algorithms, pages, interaction designs, logos, trademarks, and other proprietary elements of Scanzo belong to us or our licensors. This does not include User Content or materials that lawfully belong to other third parties.

Third-Party Content

To display identification and valuation results, Scanzo may use or present third-party information relating to players, teams, leagues, manufacturers, card images, trademarks, and market prices. It may also provide access to third-party websites or services.

Such content belongs to its respective rights holders. Its appearance in Scanzo does not imply authorization, affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or an official partnership with the relevant parties. Third-party providers are responsible for their own services, which are governed by their terms and policies. We do not control their accuracy, legality, reliability, or availability.

Personal Information

Please read the separately published Scanzo Privacy Policy for details about camera and photo library permissions, information categories, AI processing, data retention, third-party sharing, and your privacy rights. That policy is an important document to review when using our services.

4. Identification and Valuation

Accuracy

Card identification and market value estimates are generated automatically and may be affected by image quality, algorithm capabilities, market changes, and the completeness of third-party data. Results may be incorrect, incomplete, delayed, or outdated. You should independently verify them before taking action.

Limits of Use

Market values are provided for informational purposes only. They are not a promise of actual transaction prices and do not constitute financial, investment, appraisal, brokerage, or trading advice. Scanzo does not provide securities investment services, card transaction matching, or brokerage services. Any decision to buy, sell, collect, or otherwise dispose of cards based on identification or valuation results is made at your own discretion and risk.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

Scanzo offers free features as well as paid subscriptions that provide advanced features and unlimited usage. Subscription plans include monthly, annual, and other billing periods. The specific benefits, prices, and subscription durations are as displayed on the subscription page in Scanzo and the App Store purchase confirmation screen.

Payment and Renewal

Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store. Payment is charged to the payment method associated with your Apple Account when you confirm your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically: unless canceled in time, a new subscription period will begin when the current period ends, and the applicable renewal fee will be charged to your Apple Account.

Cancellation

You must turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings, rather than by contacting us. After cancellation, you can generally continue using your purchased benefits until the end of the current paid period. Apple's rules govern refunds and subscription management.

Platform Restrictions

Premium benefits may be tied to the platform on which they were purchased. A subscription purchased on one operating system or platform is not guaranteed to be transferable to or usable on another. Separate subscriptions may be required for use across platforms.

6. Disclaimers

Service Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scanzo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or consistently secure service, suitability for all your specific needs, or compatibility with every device, system, software, or network environment. Maintenance, upgrades, failures, and events beyond our reasonable control may affect the services.

We also do not guarantee that information in the application will always be accurate, complete, current, or reliable. You are responsible for protecting your device, making necessary backups, and verifying information before making important decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use Scanzo, or from its image scanning, identification, processing, and collection management features. Such damages include, without limitation, lost profits, business interruption, hardware damage, and loss of collection records or other data stored solely on your device.

Where local law does not allow liability to be fully excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Scanzo is limited to:

If your jurisdiction prohibits any of these exclusions or limitations, they apply only to the extent permitted by the laws of that jurisdiction.

7. Termination and Changes

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the services if you violate these Terms, your conduct creates safety or legal risks, or doing so is necessary to protect our legitimate interests, those of other users, or the integrity of the service systems.

To the extent permitted by law, we may do so without separate notice and are not responsible for resulting interruptions to data access. Because collection records may be stored only locally, you should keep copies of important information.

Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in our product, business, or legal environment. We will communicate significant changes through appropriate means. The latest revision date appears at the top of this document.

Continuing to use Scanzo after revised Terms take effect means you accept the new version. If you disagree, you may stop using and uninstall the application.
